What is the Snow Angels program?
The Snow Angels program is an awareness and recognition program encouraging Edmontonians to voluntarily shovel snow for a neighbour in need like a senior or person with disabilities. The program also allows those who’ve received help to recognize the volunteers who shovel their walkways by nominating them as Snow Angels with the City of Edmonton.
How does someone become a Snow Angel?
Becoming a Snow Angel is easy. Just shovel snow for someone in need in your neighbourhood.
What is the reward for being a Snow Angel?
There is no pay for being a Snow Angel, but if you are nominated by someone, you will receive a lapel pin and letter from the mayor. Your name will also be entered into a draw to win some great prizes. Plus, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a positive difference in someone's life.
How do you nominate a volunteer?
To nominate your volunteer as a City of Edmonton Snow Angel, complete the nomination form at www.edmonton.ca/snowangels or call 311.
